How Rock Hill Nissan Is Handling the COVID-19 Crisis
No one is happy with the situation we are all in because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, with the Coronavirus still heavily affecting our communities, as well as the rest of the world, we are forced to make a decision. Throw care to the wind, or do what we can to do our part to end this public health crisis. So our teams at Rock Hill Nissan, in an effort to continue to give everyone a safe and healthy environment in which to buy a new car, have taken several steps towards that goal!
Below, you will find a number of preventative steps we are taking to ensure our customers are safe, as well as new ways we are making it easier than ever to serve our customers.
PREVENTATIVE STEPS TAKEN AT THE DEALERSHIP
Effective immediately, our dealership has implemented the following steps to ensure a healthy environment for all guests:
High-touch surfaces are everywhere in basically every dealership, which has become a huge issue during COVID-19. So we’ve instructed our cleaning team to more frequently clean and disinfect all high-touch surfaces throughout the dealership, including tables, lobbies, door handles, restrooms, van shuttle seats, phones, and more, during the day.
We can only do so much on our end. However, we aren’t able to keep every single item in the dealership clean and disinfected. So we’ve also placed hand sanitizing stations throughout our showroom and office areas. We recommend using them after handling items that are commonly passed around including keys, pens, clipboards, etc.
COVID-19 is most commonly spread when someone is showing symptoms. We’ve asked and mandated our staff to stay home if they are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms and we pass it onto you as well. If you are feeling ill or sick, we ask you please stay home until you are feeling better.
The steps we are taking moving forward have been inspired by the advice being provided to the public from trusted organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
It is our main priority at Rock Hill Nissan to keep the car buying experience a safe and healthy one. For this reason, these measures and guidelines will remain in effect until further notice.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU OUTSIDE OF THE DEALERSHIP
Shopping in person is, of course, the best way to find your next new Nissan. However, with COVID-19 keeping our society in limbo, it’s understandable that some may not be comfortable with coming back into the dealership yet. So Rock Hill Nissan figured we’d do what we can to make shopping from home the best experience it can be!
The first thing we did was to make sure even after you completed the buying process, you don’t need to come into the dealership to pick up your new car. Instead, one of our team members will be by to hand deliver your brand new Nissan or used car. We call this pur new car delivery program. You can tackle the entire buying process from home, including finding your preferred Nissan, getting approved for our flexible financing, and getting the keys, which will be hand delivered to you!
Another brand new service we added to better our at-home/online experience revolves around our premium auto service. Now, instead of bringing your car into our service center when you need Nissan service, one of our team members will come to pick up your car and bring it in for you. Once you schedule whatever service you need on your Nissan, we’ll pick your car up and leave you with a loaner if you need one. Once the work is done, we’ll return your car to you, washed and sanitized.
Both of these new programs are available to everyone, as long as you’re within 20 miles of our Galleria Blvd location in Rock Hill, SC, which includes York and Newport, as well as parts of Charlotte, North Carolina. AT HOME TEST DRIVE*
Making sure everyone has a great experience when buying a new car is very important to us at Rock Hill Nissan. However, when you’re shopping from home, you can miss out on a lot of the fun of buying a new car. So our team came up with something that might just make it as good as in-person shopping, if not better! This is the At-Home Test Drive!
Just like a regular test drive, the at-home option can be scheduled directly from our website. Once you’ve found the car you like and go to schedule a test drive, you will have the option to schedule an at-home test drive instead of one where you come into the dealership. Let us know some details about when and where, one of our team members will be in touch to confirm, then you’re good to go!

After all is said and done, and you’ve finished with your initial test drive, you’ll have a few choices to make whether you like or don’t like the car. If you like it, that’s easy. We’ll let you hold onto the car while we finish up things on our end and send you anything that needs signed or filled out. But if you didn’t like the car, we’ll just take it back to the dealership for you. If there’s another car that you also had your eye on, you can go ahead and schedule an at-home test drive for that one and we’ll be over to drop that one off. There’s no limit to how many test drives you can do, so go nuts. It’s important that you are 100% sure about your choice!
